Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault left Early Access on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, shipping version 1.0 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, developer Digital Sun and publisher 11 bit studios said in a Steam community announcement. It is also a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.

Steam's store page lists the full release as Sept. 2, 2026, with Early Access dated Nov. 19, 2025. Digital Sun is the developer; 11 bit studios is the publisher. The Xbox Store shows the same Sept. 2 date, a $29.99 list price, Xbox Play Anywhere, and says the game is included with Xbox Game Pass Premium and Ultimate (cloud playable). Pure Xbox listed it Wednesday under Game Pass Ultimate and PC; TheXboxHub named Ultimate, Premium, and PC tiers.

11 bit studios had already locked the date in an Aug. 5, 2026 current report (23/2026): full release Sept. 2, 2026, on PC, Xbox Series X|S (including Game Pass), Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 — the same set that shipped Wednesday. Steam's U.S. store showed a $29.99 list with a 30 percent launch discount to $20.99 on Wednesday. Steam user reviews sat at "Very Positive" (85 percent of 1,272 reviews) on the store widget at publication; those are player scores, not a critic embargo.

The 1.0 post says Will's main story in the village of Tresna now reaches its conclusion, then opens a post-game Infinite Endless Vault — escalating single-run gold thresholds that reset that threshold on failure. Version 1.0 also adds four Endless Weapon Aspects (Short Sword, Great Sword, Spear, Gauntlets), Shop Level 5 with an extra Bloblet companion slot and a new cosmetic placement, a Bomb Path perk that marks enemies until they explode onto nearby foes, and Hardcore mode, where death costs progress and sends the player back to the beginning.

The loop is the series' double life: dive a dungeon, stuff the backpack, sell relics in the shop, dump the profits into town and gear. Steam's store copy frames Will as stranded without a coin in Tresna, trying to rebuild after an interdimensional collector, Moloch, claims the homeland. Combat and worlds are 3D this time. TheXboxHub described a merchant-and-adventurer sequel whose campaign is now finished rather than a Game Preview build — the same shift the Xbox listing makes by dropping the old "Game Preview" product name for the 1.0 store page.

Digital Sun also said physical copies are coming Nov. 13, 2026, through Silver Lining Interactive, in a standard boxed edition and a Collector's Edition with art cards, patches, a poster, stickers, a metal coin, and a digital artbook. When the studio locked the Sept. 2 date in August, it posted a free Steam demo; TechTimes said a demo remains on Steam and PlayStation 5.

Dated Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026: the Early Access caveat is gone. The shop is open on PC and home consoles, and Game Pass subscribers can walk in without a separate purchase on the tiers Microsoft's store lists.
