NBA 2K27 is available worldwide on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, 2K confirmed — the latest annual release from developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K, landing on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The Standard Edition cover belongs to San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark headlines the Deluxe Edition, and Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose fronts the limited Ultra Edition — the same three athletes 2K named when covers were revealed in July.

Players who bought Deluxe or Ultra did not wait for today’s street date. Per 2K’s Season 1 Courtside briefing, Early Access opened Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 9:00 a.m. PT — up to nine days ahead of global launch — and Season 1 tipped off on that same Early Access window with a 40-level rewards ladder across The City and MyTEAM, plus the return of 2XREP Weekends.

On the modes side, 2K has been pitching a co-ed City (female MyPLAYERs can compete alongside male builds), deeper MyPLAYER Builder tools via the NBA 2K HQ companion app, and updates across MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and MyNBA. The official site frames Season 1 around Wembanyama as the tip-off headliner while players grind XP for cosmetics, Badge Tokens, Cap Breakers, and MyTEAM cards.

PC players get a separate technical footnote: NBA 2K27 is the first commercial title to ship NVIDIA’s DLSS 5 3D-guided neural rendering for GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs (with GeForce NOW Ultimate also in the mix). We covered the RTX 40-series confirmation path separately; here it’s enough to say the feature debuts in this year’s 2K build as an optional PC visual path, not the whole story of a multiplatform sports launch.

ESRB rates the game E for Everyone. Standard, Deluxe, and Ultra SKUs and bonus content are spelled out on nba.2k.com/2k27; Deluxe/Ultra availability still varies by region. For the annual basketball audience, the news peg is simple: the full release is live on four platforms today, with Wembanyama, Clark, and Rose on the boxes and Season 1 already underway for early buyers.
