Rockstar Games, a Take-Two Interactive label, set the U.S. price of Grand Theft Auto VI at $79.99 for the standard edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, and opened pre-orders on June 25, 2026. The game is scheduled to launch Nov. 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Take-Two’s June 24 investor news release described Grand Theft Auto VI as “a single-player experience set in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet.” The Ultimate Edition, it said, “amplifies this experience with an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story.” Rockstar’s support page and store materials say physical copies are code-in-a-box with no disc, available from Nov. 12 to support pre-loading, and that digital pre-load also begins Nov. 12 at local midnight.

Purchases before Nov. 20, 2026, include the Vintage Vice City Pack, Rockstar and retailer materials say. Digital pre-orders also include one month of GTA+. The Verge and Variety reported the same price points and the single-player framing from Rockstar’s announcement. Those are company prices, not a third-party estimate. Earlier analyst talk of a $100 base price did not match the figure Rockstar posted.

Ultimate Edition content, as described in Rockstar’s marketing, includes exclusive vehicles, weapon variants, apparel, and in-game locations unavailable in the standard edition. Standard owners can buy an Ultimate Edition Upgrade later through the PlayStation and Microsoft storefronts, Rockstar support says. Ultimate Edition is digital-only in those materials.

The commercial power here is Take-Two’s pricing for a console launch without a same-day PC SKU in the announcement. Pre-orders are live at PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store, and major retailers. The game itself is still months out. What is fixed today is the shelf price Rockstar chose to print.
