WASHINGTON — White House chief of staff Susie Wiles announced Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, that she is cancer-free after pathology results following a Mayo Clinic appointment this week came back clear, NBC News reported.

“After a medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic this week, my pathology results came back clear. I am cancer free,” Wiles wrote in a post on X, according to NBC. She thanked family, friends, doctors, and supporters, and thanked President Donald Trump for his “unwavering support,” saying she is “deeply grateful and will continue to work to advance his America First Agenda.”

Wiles, 69, disclosed in March 2026 that she had been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and received a strong prognosis; she continued working through treatment. Trump had previously disclosed the diagnosis on Truth Social and praised her commitment to remaining on the job. She is the first woman to serve as White House chief of staff and a close Trump adviser.
