ManningCast season 6 adds first Super Bowl LXI alt-cast after ‘Heist’ reveal
BRISTOL, Conn. — Peyton and Eli Manning return for the sixth season of ESPN’s Emmy-winning alternate telecast Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, and will call Super Bowl LXI on Feb. 14, 2027 — the first ManningCast of an NFL championship and a centerpiece of ESPN’s first Super Bowl season, ESPN said in a Press Room release dated Sept. 8, 2026.
Eleven regular-season editions air on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. ET, starting Week 1 with the Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 14. The published slate also includes Giants–Rams, Falcons–Saints, Bills–Rams, Cowboys–Eagles, Bears–Seahawks, Chargers–Ravens, Bengals–Commanders, Cowboys–Seahawks, Patriots–Chiefs, and Texans–Packers, with one additional regular-season date to be announced later.
New this year: Manning Mode, an Xs-and-Os overlay powered by the NFL’s Next Gen Stats and Adrenaline’s TruPlay AI, that the brothers will enter multiple times each broadcast. The schedule drop came wrapped in ManningCast: Heist, a roughly 15-minute Ocean’s 11–style short from Omaha Productions with about 40 cameos — among them Anne Hathaway, Paul Rudd, Larry David, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Serena Williams, Jason and Travis Kelce, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, as detailed by ESPN and The Hollywood Reporter.
ESPN2 aired a 30-minute SportsCenter Special on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET with Peyton and Eli offering behind-the-scenes commentary on the Heist film and the season slate. Traditional Monday Night Football remains Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, Lisa Salters, and Laura Rutledge.
From booth banter to Super Bowl LXI, the ManningCast bet is still that two Hall of Fame brothers plus celebrity guests can pull a second screen — and now a championship night — without pretending to replace the main call.
