Netflix released all eight episodes of Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black Season 3 on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026. In July the streamer renewed the series for a fourth season, reversing a December plan that Season 3 would be the last.

"Beauty in Black is back for Season 4, and the Bellarie family's story is far from finished," Perry, who created, writes, directs, and executive-produces the show, told Netflix's Tudum. "There was so much more I wanted to explore, and I'm grateful I get to keep telling this story. To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world. More episodes are on the way."

The renewal followed Season 2, which Netflix said spent six weeks in its Global Top 10 and reached No. 1 in 17 countries, Deadline reported in July. Those are Netflix's numbers, issued by the company that both measures and sells the show.

The release pattern changed. Seasons 1 and 2 arrived as 16-episode runs split into two parts. Season 3 is eight episodes in one drop, with no second half scheduled. Tudum was explicit: "Season 3 tells its full story across eight episodes, so there's no Part 2 this time around." Season 4's episode count and date are unannounced.

Taylor Polidore Williams returns as Kimmie. Crystle Stewart returns as Mallory. Netflix's public logline: two women, a hair-care empire, a family that treats succession like a contact sport. Perry's studio produces it. The rating is TV-MA. That is as much plot as a news story needs.

What Netflix bought, then un-cancelled, is volume. Perry's production cycle is fast enough that a "final" season can be walked back before it airs. The audience showed up in the Global Top 10. The streamer extended the contract. The rest is episodes.
