The Gentlemen Season 2 premieres on Netflix Sept. 3 as Season 3 is already locked
Netflix will drop Season 2 of Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026. The streamer's Tudum site and Deadline both put the premiere on that date. Netflix has also confirmed a third season before Season 2 airs.
Season 2 picks up a year after Eddie Horniman (Theo James) became the reluctant heir to his family's estate and joined forces with Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario) and her father, Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone). Tudum's official logline: Eddie and Susie work in Bobby's criminal empire overseas; Bobby's decisions look increasingly unsound; they must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all.
"Season 2 was always going to be about Eddie expanding the reach of his criminal empire and testing the relationship Eddie has with Bobby Glass as the person he's working under," lead writer and executive producer Matthew Read told Tudum.
The geography expands. Read said the operation moves from a cannabis farm under Halstead to Italy, where Eddie and Susie deal with Marco Moretti (Sergio Castellitto) and fixer Cico Maldini (Michele Morrone). "They're operating in Italy under the radar," Read said. "[Cico] is the man they're entrusting to help them navigate their criminal enterprise in Italy, but he's not a man to be trusted."
Theo James described Eddie's shift to Tudum: "By Season 2, he is a man very much at the helm of it, and he's bought into the possibilities of what both worlds can bring him, both as an aristocrat and a criminal." On Eddie's birthright as Duke of Halstead: "That ignites a fiery ambition in him, and it also starts to move the ego."
Returning cast includes Ray Winstone, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, and Giancarlo Esposito. New names include Hugh Bonneville, Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, Amra Mallassi, Tyler Conti, boxer Chris Eubank Jr., and Maya Jama. Deadline listed the same expansion when it reported the Sept. 3 date on July 9.
Season 3 is already ordered. "The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded, and the consequences carry weight. A third season felt inevitable, and I'm looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further," Ritchie said on Tudum.
The series is produced by Moonage Pictures and Miramax Television for Netflix. Rating: TV-MA. Season 2 streams only on Netflix starting Sept. 3.
